So encouraged as I read over this verse for this week. This is a covenant God has made with His people: His Spirit AND His word will not depart from us! And, it is a promise for not only us as parents, but for our children, and for our children’s children. The choice we have made to follow Him is affecting the future and is leaving a lasting heritage.
Confession:
God had made a covenant with my mommy and daddy that The Word of God which lives in them shall not depart from their mouths or the mouths of their children (that’s me!).
Isaiah 59:21, NIV
“As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord. “My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever,” says the Lord.
