We are so excited to announce our major launch day for the Alabama State Parks’ Junior Ranger Program!
Oak Mountain State Park has been selected as the location for the hard launch of the Junior Ranger Program for Alabama State Parks!
INFORMATION:

DATE: Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026

TIME: 10AM start time (arrive around 9:30am to make sure you can find the pavilion in time)

LOCATION: Discover Shelby Pavilion – Terrace Drive near the Beach Parking Lot

Ribbon cutting ceremony

We will have Adventure Guides ready to hand out!

Park Rangers will be present for the swearing-in ceremony of all children present

Park Naturalists onsite for nature education

Once you get your Adventure Guide, feel free to explore the park and start your Junior Ranger journey!
