Testing can be used in several ways: to measure your student”s strengths against the public population, to give you a picture of your student’s educational needs, and/or to give your student an opportunity to develop test-taking skills.
We do not recommend testing until 3rd Grade, and we do recommend that you test every year starting at 5th Grade. Why? We feel that if your student wants to go to college, then he/she will need the test-taking skills to do well on the college entrance exams (ACT/SAT) that are usually required. So, why not give your student the experience during a time when it is low pressure, so they can relax and do their best when it is high pressure?
Of course, testing is ultimately each family’s decision, and it is not a requirement for our school enrollment.

Seton Testing Services – offers CAT-E that you can administer in your home
Bayside School Services – offers CAT/5 that you can administer in your home
Christian Liberty Press – offers 1970 CAT test that you can administer in your home
BJU Press – offers SAT testing, but you must have bachelor’s degree to administer in your home. Contact the school if you need someone to administer this test for you (for a small fee). They also offer personality profile evaluations and career exploration testing.

Texas Education Agency – offers FREE online TAKS test

Feel free to send your test results to the school office to be included in your student’s cumulative file.
