DESCRIPTION:We are so excited to announce our major launch day for the Alabama State Parks’ Junior Ranger Program!\nOak Mountain State Park has been selected as the location for the hard launch of the Junior Ranger Program for Alabama State Parks!\n\nINFORMATION:\n \n\n\nDATE: Tuesday\, March 3rd\, 2026\n\n\nTIME: 10AM start time (arrive around 9:30am to make sure you can find the pavilion in time)\n\n\nLOCATION: Discover Shelby Pavilion – Terrace Drive near the Beach Parking Lot\n\n\nRibbon cutting ceremony   \n\n\nWe will have Adventure Guides ready to hand out!\n\n\nPark Rangers will be present for the swearing-in ceremony of all children present\n\n\nPark Naturalists onsite for nature education\n\n\nLocal media covering this exciting and important day!\n\n\n \nOnce you get your Adventure Guide\, feel free to explore the park and start your Junior Ranger journey!\n\nWe would LOVE for you to bring your children/students to this event and be among the first ever Alabama State Parks Junior Rangers! If you are interested\, please feel free to ask any questions you may have!
